Credit card or details or PayPal password not accepted
We are sorry to hear you are having problems with PayPal. It works well for our customers most of the time. We do not have any control over PayPal, we can only offer suggestions as to what may be stopping it working for you.
PayPal will not accept my Stitching Cards account password
The PayPal payment is separate from Stitching Cards. Your Stitching Cards account password will not work on the PayPal web site.
If you are not a member of PayPal you can ignore the "Log In" box. Select your card type and complete all the details requested. Then click the "Continue Checkout" button near the foot of the PayPal page.
Invalid card number message
Make sure you enter the card number without spaces or dashes between the numbers.
I can’t get past the card details page
If you have filled in your details and click to continue but get an error message then there may be something you have missed. Please make sure that you have filled in all of the required fields including your country, all of the credit card fields, your phone number and the security code at the bottom of the page. Your address details may be checked against information held by your bank so accuracy is also important.
Problems following a web browser upgrade
One of our customers reported that they could not get any further than the card details page even though their card had been used successfully on previous occasions. After several unsuccessful tries they used a different computer and the payment went through. They had recently upgraded to Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 on the first computer so their guess was that it may be related to that. PayPal Customer Support suggest that they may need to clear the cookies and cache on their computer as this sometimes causes issues. If that does not work you could use another web browser such as Firefox. It is a free download from www.mozilla.com/en-US/.
Card denied
If your credit card has been denied then PayPal have made this statement: "Since this process is very complex, it does occasionally affect valid cards. The denial of your credit card is not reflective of your credit worthiness. In cases where a valid card fails our system checks, we suggest that you try another credit card in the system."
I don't want to join PayPal
You can use the PayPal service up to ten times without joining. This is called Account Optional. When you arrive at the PayPal secure payment page look for the "Not a member of PayPal? Click Here" link. This will take you to a page to pay with your credit/debit card.
Blank page or no navigation links
Some older web browsers do not display the PayPal pages properly due to recently developed security measures. Two that we know of are Netscape 6 and Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh. If you are using one of these then PayPal suggest you try a different web browser.
Forgotten PayPal password
If you have a PayPal account and have forgotten the details then ask PayPay for a reminder of the password or e-mail address you used. You can contact PayPal at www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_forgot-password.
